Modern Art

Modern art. Seriously. I don't know what to think.

I keep going back to when Maury Ballstein told Zoolander 'Mugatu is so hot right now he could take a crap, wrap it in tinfoil, put a couple fish hooks on it and sell it to Queen Elizabeth as earrings.' We're almost there.

My favorite from the MoMa was the room where the lights turned on and off every 5 seconds. You really gotta dig deep to find a meaning behind that, and they did.

But for real. I did have a favorite piece. And it wasn't Starry Night, that's a whole other story. My favorite was this portrait of a mannequin by Valerie Belin. It was just such a perfect portrait. You may see me attempting something similar in the near future.

So why do I think taking photos of mannequins is so much better than throwing three basketballs into an aquarium? I guess it's all subjective: I like the mannequins and don't like the basketballs.
